by Anthony Stai

Do you want to get rid of the pimples on your face? Silly question right? Of course you do! But you want to do it without spending a fortune on medications and treatments.

First, "what is acne?" Simply, acne is a skin disorder this is caused by hormones interacting with your skin's sebaceous glands that produce oils. The oils can lead to congestion in your skins pores when left too long on the skin. It's at this point that the acne is forming. Acne can break out on your body in a number of places besides just your face which is the most common. It can break out on your neck, chest, back and shoulders and even your scalp. If severe acne is left untreated, it can lead to other problems such as scarring and may even lead to psychological disorders like depression.

Acne is often linked to your genetics which there isn't going to be anything you can do about that. However, acne is also attributed to hygiene. This isn't to say that you never shower or you play in the dirt all day long. It just means that you have a situation where your skin accumulates oil and possibly dirt which contributes to acne breakouts. Using the natural solutions below, you will be able to address the hygiene issues.

1. Get your recommended daily allowance of fruits and vegetables to balance your body's chemistry and you'll be surprised at the how well you feel afterward.

2. Rose Water - Use rose water as a facial cleanser. Simply dip a cotton ball in the solution and clean your face at least twice daily.

3. Don't give up when you see a pimple forming. Take control and take action before it is too late. Try patting ice on the swollen location to reduce the swelling and additionally help with the release of the trapped oils in the pores.

4. Multivitamins - Make controlling acne easier by taking multivitamins to help maintain a healthy chemical balance in your body. Start with a multivitamin that contains a zinc supplement. Zinc will help make you skin stronger and more resistant to acne.

5. Cucumbers - Only this time they aren't to eat. Create a cucumber paste by combining a cucumber with water to make a facial mask. Put it on for about half an hour and rinse off. This is affordable and helps control acne at the same time that it refreshes your skin.

6. Avoid harsh soaps and cleansers. While it is tempting to use soaps that will dry out those pimples, you really want to use a soap that is much milder and leave your skin moist. Avoid using petroleum based and animal based soaps because they will irritate your skin.

7. Avoid using alcohol based cleansers on your skin because they tend to dry it out. Alcohol free is a better way to go and will be much kinder to your face and body.

8. All Natural Makeup - Choose your makeup carefully because many makeup brands contain petroleum which will, once again, dry out your skin and that is normally not what the majority of those suffering from acne need. All natural makeup will be much kinder to your skin.

9. Drink lots of water. I know, everybody always says drink lots of water. But, don't you think if everybody is saying that then there must be at least a little truth to it. Well, there is! Do it and you will feel better and your skin will feel better.

Take this list and really apply it. Remember that not all illnesses need to be cured with harsh medicines and chemicals. Always start with the simplest solutions first before having to resort to the more expensive and invasive treatments. Plus, your body will thank you because it will feel better!
