Famous Fitness Models

The physical condition of many fitness models seems almost inhuman. These individuals are so fit it is difficult to imagine that it is natural. However, most of the fitness models out there today do obtain their fantastic physiques naturally through hard work, hours of exercise and weight-lifting every day, and in some cases dieting that is strict enough to make the average person blanch.

Profiles of Famous Fitness Models and Body Builders

While certain names may come to mind when a person thinks of body builders or fitness models (e.g. Arnold Schwarzenegger), there are many other famous individuals in this profession. Some of the most prominent professional body builders include:

Tevita Aholelei Tevita Aholelei is an International Federation of Bodybuilders (IFBB) champion that was born in south Fiji. Born in the Kingdom of Tonga, he is sometimes known as the Stone of Tonga . He began competing in bodybuilding competitions in 1997. Tevita has many bodybuilding championships under his belt. He currently resides in California with his wife and children. Tevita was in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and was a soldier in Operation: Desert Storm.

Erika Geisen Erika Geisen is a retired female bodybuilder/fitness model from Australia. She won the Ms. International contest in 1986 and she retired shortly thereafter in 1988.

Lora Ottenad Lora Ottenad is a very famous and very competitive female bodybuilder from Seattle, Washington. Born in 1964, Lora is 5 8 tall and competes at a weight of 175 pounds. Lora earned her pro card in 2006 when she won the overall title at nationals. Lora made her pro debut in 2007 and won 11th place in the Ms. International competition.

Mark James Dugdale Mark is a professional bodybuilder born in 1974. He first began competing in 1997 and has been placing in bodybuilding competitions since. He currently resides in the United States.

Rachel McLish Rachel McLish is a retired female bodybuilder born in Texas in 1955. She had a string of wins in the 1980 s. She also appeared in several movies during the 1980 s and 1990 s. She placed first in the Ms. Olympia contest twice.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Perhaps the most famous bodybuilder of all time is Arnold Schwarzenegger. Born in Austria in 1947, Arnold s bodybuilding career began in the 1960 s and continued on to earn him five Mr. Universe titles, seven Mr. Olympia wins, and multiple other bodybuilding and powerlifting competitions. This of course led to his acting career and eventually to the position of governor on California.
